The project at Manchester High School for Girls included the design and construction of a new sixth form building for the School to create an all through education provision.
Internally the space was used to form 15 new classrooms to support the new teaching of A- levels and wider curriculum of STEM subjects. A new lecture theatre with retractable seating to provide for flexibility of space for the creation of non-School events and commercial use events and seminars. Breakout spaces were also created to aid the student wellbeing programme and support services. New toilet facilities were created on each floor to serve the building staff, students and visitors. A student café and refreshments zone were also established to ease the demand on the wider School dining facilities.
