J Greenwood (Builders) Limited has over 50 years’ experience in delivering professional, creative solutions to the building needs of a diverse client base across Greater Manchester and the North West, founded in 1971 by John and Pam Greenwood with the major focus being on contracting and a mission to be an effective and efficient building company providing an excellent service to our clients.
Over five decades later, our objective remains the same – to provide high quality building solutions with our clients’ vision in mind as a priority.
EMPLOYEE-OWNED BUSINESS
To mark our 50th anniversary, we became an employee-owned business to ensure our directly employed workforce shared in the success of the business and benefited from future profits.

Adrian has 30 years of experience within the Construction industry and was appointed the role of Managing Director in 2020. Adrian is the fountain of knowledge - what he doesn’t know, isn’t worth knowing.

John followed in the footsteps of his parents after taking over the company from his father, John Snr. John then became our Chairman and sold his shares in the company to allow us to be an employee-owned business. He is a pro in all things estimating.

Darren Garner
Darren joined J Greenwood Builders back in 2005 and worked his way up to become our Health, Safety & Environmental Director in 2014. He has irreplaceable knowledge of the company, all things health and safety and is our in-house tech guru.
