The project involved the restoration and conservation of the existing Grade II listed building including the complete refurbishment of the library and art gallery, in keeping with the original Victorian architectural features. Works included a new lift, reception area, flooring and decoration, plus a bespoke ornate reception desk produced in our joinery workshop.

Throughout the preconstruction stage we liaised closely with Calderdale Borough Council to understand their key drivers and ensure that the building was delivered to the requisite quality and specification. The local conservation officer was also closely involved and we had regular meetings on site to discuss any issues that arose.
