Longford Street Surgery required a large two storey extension to the surgery to expand the services offered to patients and to increase the patients visitor experience. Alongside the extension, the existing surgery building required extensive refurbishment, all whilst keeping the surgery open to the public.

The extension created additional ground floor reception area space, treatment rooms, disabled persons toilet, store and office, plus 1st floor conference and common rooms, kitchen and shower. Access to the upper floor of the new extension was installed by stairs, plus a disabled person’s platform lift.

The refurbishment of the existing building comprised of the removal of existing walls, installation of structural beam and alterations to pharmacy shop, widening the entrance doors to the surgery, construction of a new glazed partition and all associated decorating.
