Jack Edward Court, West Didsbury

Jack Edward Court is a retirement housing scheme comprising 25 apartments, originally constructed in the 1980s. The refurbishment project focused on enhancing accessibility, safety, and the overall quality of both internal and external communal spaces.

Works included structural alterations and remodelling of the ground floor to improve communal areas, creating new breakout, catering, and dining spaces for residents. The scheme also delivered seven additional car parking spaces, alongside upgrades to the fire alarm and electrical systems.

Externally, hard and soft landscaping improvements were introduced to create a more welcoming and usable environment, including enhanced seating areas and accessible pathways designed to encourage short walks and social interaction among residents.
