The project was procured directly via the minor works framework with our client, Manchester City Council.
It was recognised as part of a wider programme of improvements to the buildings that a substantial element of improvement was required to meet compliance with current fire regulation standards.

The works included the removal and installation of fire doors to all levels of the building, within communal areas and riser cupboards and to some of the residential apartments. New electrical fire detection works were installed at floor levels to link in with the wider fire alarm systems.
Sundry improvements were also undertaken to resident’s apartments to the satisfaction of the Building Control.
Our project lead ensured all works were undertaken safely and in a timely manner within the live occupied apartment and communal space to avoid as much disturbance to the occupants.
